CMTO requires RMTs to explain penalties before the first appointment and communicate changes. Save the policy together with the appointment confirmation.
Discuss foreseeable barriers
If a disability, transport arrangement or support requirement can change unpredictably, ask how accommodation requests are handled. Explain the practical issue without assuming you must disclose every detail of your condition. The provider should consider the individual situation rather than use a generic label as a complete answer. This guide does not predict the outcome of a legal accommodation question.
Respond promptly to a change
Contact the provider as soon as you know the appointment may not work and request a specific alternative. Keep relevant messages. A fair resolution might involve rescheduling or another arrangement, but an exception should not be assumed. Choose a service whose administrative process is workable as well as whose treatment room is accessible.
A practical comparison
Hypothetical planning example: A client depends on an elevator that fails unpredictably in their building. Discussing that issue at booking creates a chance to agree on a reasonable communication and rescheduling process. It does not guarantee that every missed appointment will be waived, and this guide cannot decide a legal dispute. Keep the policy and any individual arrangement together.
